The cat spraying problems have become increasingly recognised in recent years. For some cats, spraying can indicate other medical problems and so you should always, if in any doubt get your cat examined at the vets before putting the spraying down to behavioural problems only. Cat spraying is a very simple behavior that the cat performs and it can cause major problems in many households.
Neutering cats is the most common way to ensure that they will not breed and produce unwanted baby kittens. In addition, neutered cats will not spray around the house and foul the owner's furniture. However, this is not an option for all cat owners.
There are people who do not believe in the neutering of their cats. Some of them feel that it is not the owners right to subject their pet to this surgery while others feel that it is the cats right to reproduce while others are actually planning on breeding additional kittens. Other options are available to those individuals who do not want to neuter their cute little kittens.
The opinion on the matter is that some people feel they can not neuter their male cats because they have other concerns that are preventing them from doing so. One such circumstance is that some people are planning on breeding their kittens for income when they reach maturity.
Behavioral modifications must be considered when neutering is not an option because the pet owner is considering breeding of their male cat with a female cat.
Cats that are not neutered are more likely to spray in your house. Cat spray can be overwhelming and is sometimes is found on your furniture, bedding, carpets, clothing, flooring and the likes. Cat spray is extremely smelly and it does leave a nasty stain. If you are not able to neuter your cat you will need to use other techniques to stop the cat from spraying inside your house.
The cat spraying may indicate a deficiency in cats health and should be checked by a vet. This can cause major cat problems in many households. Neutering the male cats prevent their spraying. Some owners feel that it is their rights to subject their pets to surgery and others feel that the cats have a right to reproduce. Persons intending to breed their kittens when they become cats do not neuter the male cats. This also is true if the owners use their cats to breed with another person's female cats. In such cases you must consider behavioral modifications. Spraying is a big nuisance with smell and stains.
