The printer contains four different colors of toner cartridges, one for each color it uses to print. This is a remarkably efficient system because if the cyan ink is all gone, then you don't need to buy all the color toner, just the cyan one. The Oki toner, unfortunately, lasts for less pages than your usual toner, and an whole set will set you back about $150, if you buy generic.

The solid ink produced by the specific brand have noticeably higher prices. Some websites had the pack of four toners priced at four hundred dollars! I would recommend the generic branded toners because they perform the same job at a lower price.

The same company also makes Oki 5300. The speed of its microprocessor is twice that of Oki C5100 and the RAM is also twice. Despite these features both have the same print speeds. Oki 5300's ink can print twelve color pages per minute and twenty black and white pages per minute.
