Learn To Stamp-Out Spyware Before It Hurts Your Computer

by Ron Rogers

My friend is a fisherman, at least that's what he'd like to be, on a day to day basis he tunes up PCs and performs an excellent job and has a sterling reputation. When the geek gods send me a computer predicament, Jody is the person I dial and no matter how complicated or convoluted the problem, give him some leeway and he'll ferret out a way out. He mentioned something alarming last week, it seems that the majority of the home computers he fixes have spyware or adware on their systems, and a good number of people are uninformed of it; calling him when their computers slow or stall.

The world wide web is similar to a living, breathing life-form continually evolving, and sometimes not in a supportive direction, though it definitely has allowed me my career of choice. As the seasons change and technology moves forward, so too does spyware & adware. It is crucial today to have Spyware Removal tools on your PC and to use it often; essential is regularly updating the software, since what may have worked previoulsy could overlook a virus or malwarecreated since the previous scan.

As benchmark for this report (but not using this system) I ran a test, removing any anti spyware, anti adware software then visiting several traffic trade sites. These exchanges are perfect for new webmasters, giving them the ability to deliver people to their sites, accomplished by their visiting and looking at different sites. They work like this:

A person visits a particular site and receives credits for looking at the site You assign these credits to a particular URL. Then When someone else surfs, the site you want to promote is shown. The system allows everyone to receive traffic to their sites.

This is a great way to get free traffic, there are some that (not all) of these sites are either owned by or used by marketers who are less than honest. Their scheme is not to simply display an offer or website, but to install spyware on your PC. And with today's technology much of this adware is smart enough to begin the installation of spyware onto your PC, as easily as looking at their innocent looking home page. I'm not knocking these sites or suggesting that all are bad, I am recommending vigilance and suggesting you be confident your PC is secure.

If you are studying this, studies say you already have or will soon run into spyware or adware. If you're thinking, well I don't download movies or music and I definetely never download illegal software, then pat yourself on the back, but you are VERY MUCH still at risk. Take the preventative measure. Remember the old saying...

'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'

Nowhere is that truer than with the important data on your PC. There is a lot of your data, either from a business or privacy concerns; think of waking up to find all your records gone. Shocking, completely... Might it happen?... Yes. Preventable? Yes by using the right spyware removal software.

Okay are you listening now, perhaps you're wondering what exactly will spyware and adware do to my small network. Outstanding, happy to know you're thinking. In most cases spyware/adware/malware are not were not coded to erase files, instead they are like little private eyes. keeping records and data, then reporting your habits to a database somewhere; they can initiate pop-ups and probably will choke your system, slow your processor and reduce your connection to the net. It's not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

Thankfully there are smart programmers that feel exactly the way I feel; this means they are willing to take action. I don't know how to write programs, Instead I write, and I write this article to give fair warning and propose you take precautions and look after your PC. I thank those coders with the intelligence and heart to write and offer for public use these top notch spyware removal tools.

When you make a decision on which spyware programs to use, I'd advise regular scans of your home computer. When the automatic features of the program are used, you'll find it does most of the grunt work automatically, and probably while you're away from your system.
