Hellgate London Review - Maybe Not What You Want to Hear

by Jessica P

This was one game that was eagerly awaited by gamers, and it was trumpeted with lots of hype. Unfortunately, there was a problem: The game didn't really live up to all that hype.

Don't go thinking this online game review was written to bash the London game, that's not it at all. It was just bland. After you listen to people and media saying all kinds of great things about something, you start to think this is going to be super-awesome, or at least something you've never experienced before.

But the game wasn't amazing. It wasn't innovative. It doesn't even rate as awesome. It was fun, and there are parts where you are really excited. These parts need to be scooped up, magnified and used to make the entire game the same way.

If you have been reading other Hellgate London reviews that say this game is best thing since sliced bread, they were probably paid to say all that. It's kind of like buttering up your girlfriend or boyfriend instead of telling them that they did something dumb, because you don't want their feelings to be hurt.

To be quite honest with you, the stats confused the fire out of me. It's hard to keep track of each and every weapon doing different kinds of damage. Well, despite that problem, it's nifty to be able to use a wide variety of attacks.

One of the neatest things that I will include in this Hellgate London review is that you are now able to break down items to save on space in your inventory, and you're able to suck up your gold like a vacuum. Which is about as cool as it gets. Remember, if Hellgate London doesn't do it for you. There are plenty more games out there.
